Appointments and Terminations

Processing transactions in Cratchit-NET® couldn't be easier. Simply select the state in which you wish to process from your customized list. A series of screens follows which will collect ONLY the information needed by the selected state, thereby reducing errors. If you are appointing the same individual or agency in multiple states, Cratchit-NET® can optionally hold the information you enter in memory and carry it forward to the next transaction, saving you even more time.

NAIC numbers for your appointing carriers, company and carrier license numbers and FEINs are all stored in our secure database. If you were appointing manually you would need to enter this information on each form. You don't need to worry about those numbers with Cratchit-NET®! Once they are recorded, Cratchit-NET® will use them when needed to complete your transactions. Need help finding your numbers? Just ask our Helpdesk for assistance. Our team of experts will work with NIPR and other resources to find and record the information you need to get started quickly.

Special "behind-the-screens" validations ensure that you don't enter bad dates, invalid codes, or miss required information. It even performs a 'Quick-Check' of the Producer's Database (PDB) to confirm that what you've entered is valid. This step alone can save you a great deal of time and money.

After you've completed your transaction, you are notified by email every time there is activity on the transaction. This includes: when the NIPR receives the transaction data from Systeme Software; when the NIPR sends the data to the state; and when the NIPR sends the response to Systeme Software. If you have multiple transactions, you will receive a summary email including all of your updated transactions. You decide who within your company receives these notification emails.

Cratchit-NET® allows you to complete all transaction types permitted by the NIPR. As new features become available, our position as Authorized Business Partner allows us advance access. Therefore, you get those new services as soon as they become available. Services not provided by the NIPR cannot be completed through Cratchit-NET®.
